    hi guys,
    during stage 3, they require a birth certificate. what if I dont have a birth certificate? do they accept an affidavit from my parents with a domicile cerrtificate or not? i dont even have a school leaving certificate. please give me advices.

    as biased as you'd expect, but useful. I am not bothered, I think most people are not as good as the gear they are using anyway. And besides, I don't stress about other cars on the street. Different strokes for different folks...!!!

    Anyone has any idea?

    I have approved I140 (EB3, PD:Nov'04) from previous employer; after getting my MBA (Jun'06), I have changed the job and my job description has also changed. New employer will file the labor after 3 months (HR Policy)..I have good relations with previous employer, they are ready to file I485. Is it possible to file I485(previous employer), while I am working with new employer?

    I am not sure but I came to know (not reliable source), that it is possible to file I485(previous employer) and during the interview, I can submit a support letter from the new employer. is this correct?

    Requesting your help..so near...but so far!!!!!

    I recently got my H1 3 yr extension based on I-140 approval, I want to change my job to company B but my employer Company A says that he will have to revoke the I-140(as per company attorneys), Will this affect my H1 extension(as in will I be out of status?) and can I retain my PD?

    Also does anyone know a good lawyer I can consult over the phone?

    I need feedback from you guys. I have researched this lawyer before I got her to start my greencard and the feedbacks seems that she is efficient and knowledgeable. However, since we signed the contract with her, things have been moving so slow. She doesn't want to talk to me or give me status updates when asked. She has all the information needed from me and my employer to start the prevailing wage request but a month has passes and nothing has been requested yet. Has anybody here experience the same thing?

    Hi All,

    Please help me with this. i came to USA on L1B visa in 2005 with 1 year petition and got extension for 2 more years i.e till feb 2008 but went to india for good in June 2007.
    Again we came back with new L1B petition in Oct 2007 and got 3 years visa i.e, till Oct 2010.

    1) Now if company apply for extension on L1B how many years ext i'll get?
    2) Now if Company B wants to file new H1B for me, how many years of visa i'll get.

    i was never on H1 before this is my first time H1B.
    Please help me with this as soon as possible.

    I would call NVC (National Visa Center), they have a customer service number and I heard they are pretty helpfull.

    By the way,

    How fast did they give you a appoinment after you getting the letter that you are Winner ?

    What type of documentation do you have to file and take ?

    Any news to share?

    Though my employer is located in Kansas, we got TSC receipts and now when I extended my EAD, I got NSC's receipts...(heard it is lreatde to laod sharing among SC's)

    BTW Is this a big deal in approving 485???

    Anyways, can someone pls direct me(if there is thread covering 2004 approvals) or share your thoughts around PD 2004 approvals?

    I filed for my self, wife and two daughters I-485 and EAD with all documents but without I-140 recipt notice instead I enclosed evidences of the cashed check, INS online status print out and cover letter with reciept number.

    My application reached on July 2 at 11:34am. No reciept yet. I called INS and representative explained my case will not be denied. If at all, INS will ask for the reciept notice.
    I have my reciept notice for I-140 now.
    At this point shall I wait or apply one more today with the reciept notice.

    When applying for AP, do we need to submit separate cheques for AP($305) and Biometric($80) or we need to combine both ie., $385 and send as one cheque :confused: ????

    There is a mistake in my 485 cover letter. The letter states that I am EB3 but actually I am EB2.

    Will this cause any problem? Will USCIS deny my case? Please note we included I-140 approval form in the file.

    Because you already filed I-485 before she turned 21, your daughter is protected by CSPA and she will get her GC as long as your case is approved even if she turned 30 before your AOS is approved (I sincerely hope you are approved before she turns 30 as she must remain unmarried until she gets GC).

    By the way, my son is in the same boat as he turned 21 in 2008 too.

    hi
    we are paying social security and medicare taxes where as we are not entitle to any of this benefits. they are taking this taxes based on giving permanent status but they have slowed green card processing near to impossible. that's fine, but taking social security taxes is not right when we are certainly not going to part of that system.
    they must stop those taxes till green card is processed.

    Hi, I on H4..now 485 filed/pending...H1B also filed...so should I send a cancellation for my H1B ?
